thanks for checking out my shikamoo blog. this blog is about my dining and cooking experiences. since i'm born and raised in tehran, then moved to europe and then moved to the us i have got exposure to a variety of couisins and i enjoy most of them. moving around and not staying at one place has the advantage that you get used to different tastes and spices but it also has the disadvantage that you don't build a habit of following one specific tradition of cooking which usually has all necessary nutritious values. what i try to do is following my grandmothers advice and eat as diverse and colorful as possible ... for example if i eat more green vegetables today, i try to eat more red and yellow ones tomorrow ... i'm not vegetarian but i cook mostly vegetarian during the week, so this blog could also be useful for vegetarians. i also makes some jam or deserts once in a while and i plant some herbs, so feel free to use this blog as a place to discuss about all related topics.
